allergic reaction to chapstick = extra luscious lips

Ha... so let me just go ahead and tell you! DON'T buy Chapstick brand chapstick!!! Ah! My lips are swollen and so dry.  Since Thursday I have been putting vaseline on them non-stop and they are STILL not better!  I mean you cannot really tell they look bad, thank goodness!  Since I have been putting the vaseline on like it's my religion, but they hurt. But hey, at least they look extra luscious... better than my cheeks being swollen or something, that would so not be attractive!

Today was fantastic!  I woke up at 7:00 and went downstairs and sat in bed with mom and talked a little while and ended up falling back asleep till about 10:30. Then we just kind of hung around the house until we went and got pedicures! It was nice to spend time with my mom just the two of us and get a pedicure, which felt soooo glorious! Then I went and picked Catherine up and we went to the Bass Pro Shop... WOAH!  That place is way too big. I was so overwhelmed. Not to mention about half the state was there! They had fleece jackets on sale for $10 so I got myself, mom, and John each one! After that Catherine and I went to the grocery store to get groceries for dinner tonight.  I fixed hot wings and pasta salad which were delicious!  The triplets came down and we played with them for a long time! They love the talking tom cat app on the iPhone... it is so funny! I downloaded it thanks to Sandy. Then I went and met Paul at Starbucks! It was so great seeing him! We always see each other when ever we are home... so we had to continue the tradition.

I'd rather live in a barn than live in the ghetto...

One of my most favorite things in life... Auburn football.  Yet another thing to be thankful of.  God is probably disappointed that I put so much emphasis on football, but that's okay.  Besides if God were a football fan I'm sure He would be an Auburn fan!  Ha... I mean the sky is orange and blue after all!  Well, we watched the game at my house with my Mom, John, Grandma Sue, Grandy, Aunt Amy, Edward, Catherine, Trish, and Lou!  Oh yeah... and my niece Bella!  The game was way too stressful for me, I even unloaded the dishwasher at one point.  However, AUBURN WON and that is all that matters in the end!  I am so proud of our team, because I know it had to be really hard playing away.  Alabama did play well... but that's all I'm gonna say about that!

One think I forgot to say I was thankful for yesterday is my best friend/partner in crime/sista from anotha mista.  Catherine has been a hugeeee influence in my life and I am so very thankful for her!  She is my best friend and always will be.  I love this girl to death.  So thank you Catherine for all you have done, do, and will do for me!  You da bomb.com guh!

But anywho... here's some pictures from today!  Hope ya enjoy :)
Me and Mom

the title of my blog is referring to the fact that I'd rather live in Auburn than Tuscaloosa... plus our agriculture majors have done way more for us than a lawyer ever could! ha sorry :) but War Eagle!

Thanksgiving Part Two! friends and blessings

Thanksgiving is one of the greatest holidays. Do I say this because I love the food?  Well, yes that has to do with it.  But also because I am SO very thankful and blessed with so much!  What am I most thankful for?  Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Yes, I say Our... he is Our Lord... not mine, not yours, OURS!  Where would I be without Him?  Well, I cannot even answer that question.  Because ever since I have begun my journey with Him my life has been so rich.  No, I'm not rich.  But I am rich with Jesus love and try to share that as much as possible.  Now don't get me wrong... I am just as thankful for family and friends.  Heaven knows I would not be the young woman I am today without my family and friends.  Family is so very important to me.  My family would sacrifice anything and everything for me.  I love them so very much for this, because I am not always deserving.  Friends get me through everything.  Without my camp friends I would not have made it through the semester.  Without some of my Theta friends I would not have begun YoungLife.  Without any of my friends I would be a very dull and not so loving person.  Saying all of this about my friends I have to share a couple of sweet texts that my lovely friends sent me yesterday.  Let me tell you, I am not sharing these because I want to shove in your face that my friends love me, or whatever else one might assume.  I'm sharing this because it means SO very much to me that I have even had the slightest impact or have showed enough love to them.  All of these girls are my camp friends... of course :)  and I love them with all of my heart!  So thank you Abby, Aubrey, and Macy for making my day just a little bit better by sharing this with me!
Abby
Aubrey
sweet Macy
these texts truly made my day... I cannot thank y'all enough for being such a blessing in my life.
this is what true friends are!

I also have to share these pictures that I forgot to share in the first post.
Me and my sweet mother.
Of course we both wore orange :)
Oh baby Edward you're growing up too fast!
I wish the picture wasn't so darn blurry!

Here's my prayer for the week in my devotion that I just love:
"Speak, O Lord, as we come to you, to receive the food of Your holy word. Take Your truth, plant it deep in us; shape and fashion us in Your likeness, that the light of Christ might be seen today, in our acts of love and our deeds of faith. Speak, O Lord, and fulfill in us all Your purposes, for Your glory."

I hope everyone had a blessed and fantastic Thanksgiving!
Now I gotta go cheer for my boys!
War Eagle!

Thanksgiving Part One! food and family

What a fantastic day!
The first half of the day I was at my mom's!
Grandy, Ellen, Bill, Anna, Grandma, Aunt Amy, Edward, Jason, Jonathan, John, Mom, and I were all here!  It was great, we had soooo much food!

Zucchini Salad. Rolls. Cole Slaw. Deviled Eggs.
Broccoli Casserole. Corn Souffle. Squash Casserole.
Cranberry Sauce.
I think that's all... haha!
oh yeah!
Red Velvet Cake and Pecan Pie which I don't have pictures of!

Then I drove to Uncle Johnny's in Tuscaloosa County for dad's Thanksgiving!
It was great as well and we had tons of food there as well!
Grandma, Uncle Johnny, Dad, Ann, Carter, and I were all there.
Uncle Johnny's assistant manager from the Tuscaloosa store also joined us, Shan.
She was very nice and we really enjoyed her being part of our family!
Turkey.
Green Beans.
Sweet Potato Casserole.
Rolls. Fruit Salad. Blue Cheese Cole Slaw. Cranberry Sauce.
Vegetable Casserole. Squash Casserole. Dressing.
Pumpkin Pie. Pecan Pie.
My grandma makes this adorable pumpkin pie every year!
She's the greatest!

drop everything now meet me in the pouring rain

Today was great!!  I woke up and went and got grandma!  Then she and I went and met aunt Amy at O'Carrs in downtown Homewood.  I haven't been there in so long and it was delicious!  Aunt Amy bought my lunch and even let me get dessert.  We split a chocolate peanut butter milkshake which was beyond words amazingly delicious!
After we ate lunch we walked around downtown Homewood and went in a couple of shops.  We went in atHome and they have the coolest stuff in there!  If I could I would buy all of my furniture there for when I have a house one day!  A lot of their stuff is just really vintage and well... my style.  Then we went with aunt Amy to pick Edward up from school!  He was so excited to see me and grandma, it was sweet.  Then me and grandma went to Publix to get broccoli for the casserole my mom is making tomorrow because when she went to the store the other day she bought spinach instead of broccoli... haha. senior moment.  Hope she doesn't read this... if she does sorry mom :)

When we got home grandma and I watched Oprah from yesterday that was recorded.  It was about nuns marrying Jesus... it was rather interesting to say the least.  I did not realize the process of becoming and being a nun was so... what's the word?  strict/restricted.  Mom got home and I set the table and the triplets came down!  Here's a picture of me and sweet Jensen!
I went to dinner with Alison, Amanda, Courtney, Kendall, and Lindsay tonight!  Dinner was great... we went to sumo and then yogurt mountain!  Amanda told us she got engaged today!  I am so excited for her.  What a blessing this is and will be for her and Alberto!

Here's my inspiration for the night:
It is from my devotion last night...
"I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go,
and I will bring you back to this land.
I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."
-Genesis 28:15

One more quote:
"Prayer is creating a sacred space where you can be overwhelmed
with God's uncompromising love and acceptance."
from Living in God's Embrace by Michael Fonseca

bowling and family pictures

yesterday was fantastic!  I woke up and went to the dentist to get molds of my teeth made for a new retainer.  That stuff is so nasty!  Then I went bowling with the triplets at Vestavia Bowl! too much fun :)  The kids did so well... me on the other hand... eh eh!  I lost!  But that's okay, they had bumpers and I didn't haha... Sandy won!
Funny story to share...
Jensen and I were sitting at the table while everyone else was bowling, and out of no where Jensen goes, "Do you want to be a mom?"
I said, "Yes, of course!"
"Well when?"
"Well, when God gives me a husband."
"Well don't you need a boyfriend first?"
"Yes, so when God gives me a boyfriend then I'll get married and then I'll have babies.  Do you want to have kids?"
"No, it takes too long."
Oh kids... gotta love them.  They will ask you anything!

After I went bowling I went home to my moms and got my stuff ready to go over to my dads.  We went to Vestavia Methodist to get our family picture made for the church directory.  The picture is absolutely adorable!  However... apparently I'm the only one that thinks to coordinate outfits?  Guess that's just me being orderly... or whatever.  The picture of me and Carter turned out fabulous! We are the cutest siblings ever!  After the picture dad cooked dinner.  We had grilled chicken, bow tie pasta, grilled asparagus, and salad.  It was delicious!  I've been hardcore craving some grilled chicken.  Then Carter and I hung out until Hunter came over and then we went over to Tricia's!  It was so good to see her :)  I just love camp people!

I talked to my dad about going to seminary... I think he was surprised.  Not to thrilled but I know he will support whatever I decide to do.  He just wants me to be a teacher.  And he said something about my husband... well I don't even have one yet.  And my husband will love me no matter what anyway.  Even if I do move around.  Not that I want to move around, but if that's what God's plan for me is then that is what I will do!

God's telescope

What a great weekend it has been!  I left Auburn around noon on Friday to come home!  I went straight to my moms work to visit her before going to meet Catherine.  We left for Haleyville and got there by dinner time :)  We had such a great weekend with my second parents.  I just love Momma and Poppa V. They are so inspiring and have been a huge part of my spiritual life!  I really don't have much to say...  I don't know how because I haven't blogged in about four days.  I've just stayed busy and can't begin to think of everything that I could blog about.  This weekend was full of food... that's the best thing about being home.  Don't have to worry about any crappy campus food.  Home cooked food is always the best.  I hope everyone else had a great weekend!  I'm going to share some pictures now!

On the way to Haleyville in Jasper there is this cross that you pass...
the only thing I can think to say when we pass it is
"Oh hey Jesus!"
Catherine and I thought it was hilarious.
Great story... I know.
The picture doesn't quite do the cross justice. but it's HUGE.
Last night Catherine and I baked a lot!
We made apple dumplings and boiled chocolate oatmeal cookies.
The cookies didn't turn out very well... I'm blaming it on the weather.
They would not set for some reason.
Then today we went to church and it was great!
We went to the 8:00 and 11:00 service.
At the 11:00 service there was a baptism.
The babies baptismal gown was made out of
the train from her mothers wedding gown...
how cool is that? I'm definitely taking that idea :)
We saw Will at church... and I got to hold his presh baby cousin Millie Grace!
We helped Momma make lunch and then we came back to Birmingham!
We hung out with Sandy, mom, John, and the triplets tonight.
Then Catherine and I went to Purple Onion for dinner.
Oh yeah... when I got home the house was already decorated for Christmas.
AH! It's not even Thanksgiving yet!!
I've got to share the cutest story from tonight.
The moon is full and if you look you can see a halo of light around it.
Well Sandy told Taylor that is God's way of looking down at us through His telescope.
So my mom walks outside and Taylor goes, "Hey Mrs. Dawn, do you see that little halo thing around the moon?  Well that's God looking down at us!"
Oh, it was just too cute!

I'm going to leave you with this poem that was in my devotion book the other night.
a gentle hand on my face
a soft whisper in my ear
a warm and intimate embrace
a face filled with affection
eyes dancing with delight
a heart overflowing with love
a beautiful song sung over me
a tender kiss upon my lips
prayer

your love is a raging sea

Well hello first sickness of the Winter.
I thought that my sniffles yesterday was just one of my 24 hour allergy attacks.
But no... I have a sinus infection and ear infection.
I'm just thankful that I have it now - not over Thanksgiving break.
I have lots of people to see and places to go and I don't want it getting me down :)

But anyway...
I did not get on here to blog about being sick.
Instead I got on to talk about a random thought that I have been thinking about so much lately.
Have you every just wanted to
go lay in a field in the middle of no where,
lay a quilt down, and just look up at the stars?
I don't know why but this constantly pops into my mind.
Every time I leave Irene's I can see the stars so clearly.
There is one spot where I can just see them so prefectly and it's when I get to the main road off the three back roads that you have to drive on to get to her house.  It's at a stop sign and when I look to the left to see if there are any cars coming I can just look up and see what seems to be every star in the sky.  It is just so cool!  And to think that our God created that. wow! gives me chills!

Next thing...
My devotions this week...
(yes I've stayed up to date... patting myself on the back)
The theme is prayer.
Which is such an appropriate topic right now.
As I've already begun praying for my journey with younglife,
I am now beginning to pray for my other team members,
as well as the students that I will soon be meeting!
Well I'm going to share some quotes that I like and some verses.
Prayer really is the answer to so many problems that have come up in my life.
No, it may not work for you instantly.  But if you truly trust in our God, He will answer your prayers.  It's a little thing...
well not so little thing, called FAITH.
God is faithful to us, so He deserves for us to be faithful to him.
Easier said than done... as many things in life are.
But I just urge you, if you don't already, have a relationship with Christ.
Pray to Him, talk to Him, when you're scared turn to Him, that's what He's there for.
What He wants more than anything is for us to be His friend.
WHAT?!
No way... He doesn't want us to be his friend.
Oh yes... He does.  He loves us that much!  He adores us that much!
What a concept?!
Anyway... on to the verses and quotes.

My devotion from yesterday came from Matthew 6:5-15... don't be lazy go read the whole thing. I'm going to share with you my favorite verse, however the whole thing is amazing!  I just don't want to ruin it for you :)  "But when you pray, go into your room close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." -Matthew 6:6  This section also includes the Lord's prayer... which is such a ritual thing, but it's so cool to just read it from the Bible.

My devotion from today came from John 17:1-26... the subjects are Jesus Prays for Himself, Jesus Prays for His Disciples, Jesus Prays for All Believers.  Again, go read it.  I'm going to share some of my favorite parts.  "All I have is yours, and all you have is mine.  And glory has come to me through them." -John 17:10  Another part I really liked was: "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me.  May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." -John 17:22-23

Some quotes in my devotional book that I really liked:
"Prayer tomorrow starts today, or there is no prayer tomorrow." from Prayer is a Hunger by Edward J. Farrell
"Prayer is a journey, a path that is created only by walking it. It creates and reveals oneself in the process." also from Prayer is a Hunger by Edward J. Farrell

I hope everyone has had a great day :)  We are getting even closer to Thanksgiving break... yayyyy!

"the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective"

Well...
I can say goodbye to nap time.
What a wonderful day to nap, but it just is not going to happen!
I am full of excitement that is beyond what I can express!

On my way to my 2 o'clock class I passed Ryan and she told me they had a meeting last night discussing where everyone was going to be placed.  Naturally, I asked her if she knew where I was placed.  She didn't know but told me that I should be finding out anytime... little did we know that I was soon to be on her team!!!  So... I'm sitting in class and I get a text from Alex Sager...
I decided to reactivate my facebook to share the wonderful news with everyone.
And I get lovely texts from my friends like this one :)

Again...
I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all of the prayers.
I could not have done this without the prayers of my friends and family.
THANK YOU!!!!
This journey is going to be fantastic and I cannot wait to get started.
God has blessed me in so many ways...
I'm continuously in awe!

So in my devotion book it gives me a song each week.
The song this week is my absolute favorite camp song...
Sanctuary
and it is so fitting with everything right now!
of course because God is so awesome like that!!
Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary
Pure and holy, tried and true
And with thanksgiving
I'll be a living
Sanctuary
for You

the title of my post today is James 5:16

don't mess with CAM if you can't handle the FAM

FRIDAY
Well, I already blogged on Friday, but I went to the basketball game which was fantastic!  I sat with Alex, Caroline, Katie, and DP!  Then Mo, Jen, and Savannah came and sat behind us.  The game was sooo good... until the end when we lost!  I don't know how the heck we lost that game... we SO had it!  We got to sit on the FRONT ROW right by the pep band, I got to shake Trooper Taylor's hand, and got a picture with Aubie!! :)  And Rebecca got here all safe and sound!
SATURDAY
what a fantastic day!  woke up and mom picked Rebecca, Marie, and I up and took us to tailgate.  We ate and hung out for a bit, then Rebecca and I went and met Caroline, DP, and Kevin in line to get in the stadium.  They opened the gates 45 minutes early yet again... no surprise there!  We had awesome seats!  Janie and Graham ended up coming and sitting with us as well, which was fantastic!  I missed not getting to sit with Mo and Jen though :(  After the game, Rebecca, Marie, and I headed back to tailgate because we were starvingggg!  We got home and showered to get warm again and drank some hot chocolate! :)  Sorry for the terrible quality of these pictures...
Oh yeah...
the sky was Orange & Blue for Auburn
SUNDAY
Got up and went to church with Marie and Rebecca.  We got lunch from Momma Goldberg's.  Then had Chapter Development Day from 12-2...  Came back to the dorm and painted my finger nails and toe nails purple :)  they look super cute... Tonight I went to dinner with Jordan, Jenny, Morgan, and Hunter!  We had Chinese and our fortunes were so awesome... so I took pictures :)  Then went over to Mo and Jen's to watch Desperate Housewives and Sarah Palin's Alaska... Sarah Palin kills me, her and her accent....
Jen's - "An interesting sports opportunity is in your near future."
Mine - "A four-wheeled adventure will soon bring you happiness."
So of course we take this as a sign that we will be going to the
National Championship
and road tripping all the way out to Arizona...
haha we're ridiculous.

words of wisdom for the night...
from When God Writes Your Love Story
"We are to give everything to Him
because He gave everything for us.
We are to gladly love and serve Him with every breath we take because He is worthy.
This life is not about us; it's about Him."

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and has a great start to their week ahead! Only 3 days of classes before Thanksgiving break starts for me :)

Georgia Off My Mind

This post is kind of just a collection of random thoughts... so sorry but here it goes.

Yesterday was fantastic!  I did not have to babysit, so I went on to the Page's early!  I was there by about 11:15.  When I got there I sat in Irene's bed with her and we talked and caught up for a little while. Then we went to two tree island for a picnic lunch, which was so much fun!  On the boat ride back Lily fell asleep.  When we got back the girls played while Irene and I started making cole slaw and broccoli salad for the fish fry!  Pressler made brownies for dessert... needless to say I was stuffed, we all were!  After the girls went to bed we watched Supersize Me... which was disgusting!  I definitely will not be eating McDonald's again... for quite some time.  I wish I had pictures, but I for some reason did not think of taking pictures today... so I only have the images stored away in my mind.  I can tell you if I had pictures they would be very cute!

Angie asked me to write 14 devotions by February... which I am really excited about.  I think that once I sit down to start writing 14 devotions I will realize that it is going to be a little bit more challenging than I think.  But I am still excited about doing so.  I think it's the perfect task to be given right now in my life.  I have recently seriously considered going to Seminary... so here goes some practice...

Last night when I went to check my yahoo e-mail I came across this article called "10 Quirky Facts About Kissing" well I clicked on it.  The one that stuck out most to me: 8. The average woman kisses 29 men before she gets married.  WHAT?!  This is just... ridiculous.  29 men.  I cannot even explain how disappointing that is.  What is wrong with people?  Do you just kiss every man you talk to, or what?  I don't know, I'm not trying to be judgmental at all... that is not my place.  I just find that very surprising.  If I were a guy I would not find that attractive at all, but yet again not my place.  Just had to share that little fact... because it shocked me!

Rebecca Bell is coming in town tonight to stay with me tonight, going to the game with me tomorrow, and spending the night tomorrow night!  I'm really excited for her to be staying with me!  She will be coming to Auburn next year, so exciting!  What a great weekend to be coming!

My mom is coming in town today so we are going to dinner tonight!  Then, I'm going to the basketball game tonight.

Anyway... have a great Friday and weekend :)

The title of my post today is named after the free game day button from the bookstore.

grab a drink... it's going to be a long one

So I have a stickie note about the things I have to blog about... hopefully it won't be too long but it will be somewhat long because I have lots to say.

First thing, I have noticed recently that people these days just do not have any manners.  Hello, I live in the South and I expect you to have manners.  There are two stories that have happened to me in the past week that display this and I just have to share, because it has really gotten to me!
1. At the game on Saturday I sat with my mom, Sandy, Jensen, and Taylor.  Well there was a girl around 15ish sitting on the seat behind me.  Instead of putting her drink on the ground under her seat she put it on the seat beside her... well somehow she knocked it off... and it got all over the back of my jeans and then all over Sandy's peacoat and a little bit on mine.  Well instead of setting it under the seat after she knocked it off, she set back up next to her and knocked it off again and got it all over the back of me again!  She was with two grown women and she, nor the women apologized or anything!  That is just rude.  I completely understand that accidents happen, but if I were to have done that I would have been so apologetic, it's just shocking!
2. Today as I was walking into my class I stood and held the door open for this guy, I didn't have to hold the door open I could have easily kept on walking and not stood there for 15 extra seconds, but no I was nice.  He did NOT say Thank You!! Ah! I'm just so frustrated with people being rude!

Second, the whole Auburn/ Cam Newton issue.  I'm not going to say much about this, because it frustrates me beyond belief.  However, I am so sick of people trying to steal our thunder.  Get a life, and start worrying about something that matters.  Stop making up lies.  Cam Newton and Gene Chizik and the whole Auburn FAMILY are standup people.  Coach Chizik would not jeopardize his team, fans, or career with these stupid bull crap lies.  That's all I have to say about that...

Next thing, I have a list of five New Years Resolutions!!! Want to hear them? Okay good! Here they are:
1. No eating out more than twice in one week.
2. No fries.
3. No soda.
4. No cussing.
5. Tithe to the church.
I hope that these goals are achievable, I know it will be hard, but with the help of our amazing God I know that I can push through! :)

Ohhh... last thing!  I gave blood today... normally I like giving blood!  I think it's great, because I know one day I may need blood for something, and someone will have generously donated blood for me to use, therefore I am going to generously donate blood for some kind soul to receive.  Well, I got my finger pricked and the nurse successfully stuck my arm without bruising me.  I was about half way through and I turned to the nurse, "Excuse me, I feel really light headed."  Well, she told me to bend my knees and that I was almost through, only 4 more minutes.  Longest 4 minutes of my life... I had to chug two small cups of apple juice, she made me cough (increases blood flow), my vision started going, then I couldn't hear, and then here come the cold sweats.  So then she laid me back and finished me up.  I almost passed out, it was very scary.  However my nurse took great care of me, and the girl on SGA so graciously held my apple juice up to my mouth for me.  Then, David nearly passed out so I took care of him!  However, I'm not going to let it discourage me.  I think that giving blood is a great thing!  So go donate! :)  Here's a picture right after I started!

Well, that's all for now!  I guess it wasn't as long as I thought it was going to be!  I am yet again, behind on my devotions :( so... I'll have some inspiration in the near future!

turn that off... get that out of here

Well today has been a pretty great day!  I had a Geography test... yuck!  Then I went to my other classes and had lunch with Aubrey!  After my 2 o'clock class I ran into Abby... yay! we talked for a long time!  Then I walked about 2 yards and ran into Amy Norton from high school!  How awesome... just a day of reunions.  Well wait... more reuniting!  I went to dinner with my old roomies... Alex and Melody.  Allison couldn't come :(  And at dinner I saw Richard!!!  What a great day :)  I went by Alex and Caroline's after dinner and talked to Caroline for a good while!  Alex gave me a new book to read called "When God Writes Your Love Story" and I've already started it, I like it!  I skyped Julia too!  Now I'm hanging out with Davis, Marie, and Alex.  Listening to Glee and Disney Pandora radio... best invention every :)

Two top quotes from Marie tonight:
1. Y'all I wore my long underwear under my jeans today and it was hot!  I got to class and I was panting.
2. Y'all my ear just twitched... is that normal?

I want to share this from my book because it sums up the way I have felt:
"I wrestled intensely with the decision.  And in spite of all my fears and misgivings about turning the pen of my life over to God, one realization was extremely clear.  As long as I continued writing my own story, I knew I would find more heartache and disappointment...."
So what I have realized is that you have to hand your life over to Christ... every part of it.  For me I have to realize that Christ is in control of every part of my life and will take care of me and provide, even in the relationship department.  I know that I will have a family eventually... in God's time... after all I am only 19 years old!

"As for God, His way is perfect."
-Psalms 18:30

happy Sunday!

Yesterday was a great day!  War Eagle!  My mom, Sandy, Taylor and Jensen all came down for the game! and it was my lovely mother's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! :)  It was the girls very first game and I think they really enjoyed it. They won't be Bama fans too much longer.  We took them to Tiger Walk, I got to sit with them and a very nice woman gave me a ticket for free!  Then we ran into Allison before going into the game!  The girls were so cute, they gave Allison a hug and were so excited to take a picture with a majorette!  During half time they said "oh my gosh! those are the girls we took a picture with!"  so cute :)

Well today I woke up and went to Cornerstone Church with Marie, I loved it!  Then we went to Pannie George's for lunch... which was beyond amazing.  And we went to wal-mart to get Marie some little Dr. Scholl's things for her boots, went to Old Navy, and then came back and went to DG's Anchor Splash!  It was a lot of fun... or at least while we were there.  Then we drove around and looked for houses!

Marie and I have already decided to start a New Year's Resolution... We are going to go to church every Sunday and then go out to eat after church... and that will be the only time we will eat out for the week.  Well, that's our goal anyway!  Hopefully we can succeed at it :) or at least try our hardest.  Then for the money that we save, by not eating out, we are going to tithe to the church!  I think this will be more challenging than it seems!  But all we can do is try!

sugar and spice and all things nice

I'm not sure how I lost my last post but I did... gosh darnit!
Today was a fantastic day!  I got up and went to my classes and all was well, then I headed out to Tim and Irene's for Katey Grace's 7th Birthday Party!  It was so much fun!  When I got there I made about 70 cupcakes which was way too much fun!  The party was a pajama party and we had makeovers, cupcake decorating, nail polish, tattoos, Shirley Temple's, and decorated night shirts for the girls to take home as their favors!  There were about 15 little girls there and one little boy... let me tell you that little boy was just as excited to be there as all those little girls, and he was such a gentleman already!  He kept asking Pressler and I if he could help us and he's only about 5 years old!  Too sweet :)

On the way to their house...
This is just a portion of the cupcakes I made...
Right before the party started Tim was fishing and caught a HUGE bass!

The little girls!
This precious little boy stuck his face in the cake.
A picture to show you how cute he is after I cleaned his face up!
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend... wish I had a verse to end the post with, but I really need to catch up on my devotions!
