another step along the path

EXCITING NEWS!!!
I will officially be moving to the starting Capernaum team on my YoungLife journey.
I am currently on the Auburn Jr. High team.
I am SO thankful for my team, they have been nothing short of amazing.
I could not have asked for a better welcoming team into my YoungLife journey.
I will be finishing the semester with my team (still going to team meeting, club, etc.)
or at least to the best of my ability, if Capernaum calls for me I will put that first priority.
Capernaum is YoungLife for children with special needs.
OH MY GOSH!
my excitement is through the roof!
I am so called to this ministry...
and working with special needs children is also my calling...
so this is AMAZING/PERFECT/TOO COOL!

what is YoungLife?
in a round about way getting middle school and high school age children
to come to Christ by the time they graduate from high school.
maybe they already know Christ...
so getting their relationship with Christ to be stronger.
in order to do so we do this thing called contact work:
get to know the kids.
earn the right to be heard.
support the kids.
(go to soccer practice, choir concerts, football games, etc.)
love with no strings attached.
then talk about Christ.
(okay, so I could explain that a lot better, however this is the shortened version, and you get the basic point, here's the mission and vision statement if you want to know more!)

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11

yet again this verse proves to be true, and how amazingly true it is. hope everyone is having a glorious week :)

  1. Congrats love! :) "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” ~~Matthew 28:19-20~~
