What an amazing week this past week has been! It is officially my birthday month... YAY! In one week I will be 20 (no longer a teenager). I officially feel old. I know that I'm not old but wow... 20 seems like such a huge milestone. That means I have been alive for 2 whole decades!
Well today I went to church with Pressler and Marie at Cornerstone. I absolutely love that church, and I haven't been the past like three weeks because I've been at camp! ah! It was so nice to be back. Starts my week of in such a better way. The sermon today was on the Doctrine of Trinity and it was really awesome. It focused on the Holy Spirit, which is really cool. When we think of the Trinity we know all about how Jesus is the Father and the Son, however the Holy Spirit always seems to be that one thing that we know about but we just keep finding out more about it or learning new things. It's one of those things that is constant in our life but that we keep getting surprised by. Along with the amazing sermon there were over twenty teenagers that came to Christ through Confirmation and Baptism this morning at church. So so awesome and I'm so glad I got to be a part of the welcoming of these new brothers and sisters of Christ.
Anyway... the sermon this week contained so much scripture so as Allen was preaching this morning I was doing my best to write down everything he said. When I got home I went over the scripture and picked out some of my favorites that spoke to me the most. So I'm going to share!
"Teach me to do your will, for you are my God;
may your good Spirit lead me on the level ground."
-Psalms 143:10
I feel like as Christians we are always needing Christ to teach us His will. So this verse seemed to be really appropriate to me in my life.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."
-Deuteronomy 6:5
This is one of my absolute favorite verses of all time. So naturally, I am going to put it in here if it was part of the sermon today!

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
-2Corinthians 3:17-18
"But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope."
-Galatians 5:5
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
-2Timothy 3:16-17
Wow! How awesome is this? Talking about what Scripture is useful for. If you ever questioned it, well there's your answer. The Scripture is useful for so many more things beyond this. Scripture keeps me going on a daily basis. But here the Bible is saying Scripture is provided for us, as Christians, to be prepared to teach and answer questions.

I totally recommend reading all of Psalms 139, however these are my favorites from this chapter.
14 "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
That is an overwhelming amount of Scripture so I'm very sorry! However, all of it was really meaningful so I thought it would be good to share! I hope everyone has a blessed week!
The title of this blog post comes from the song Our God by Chris Tomlin which is one of my favorite songs... and we sang it in church today!
